Introduction

What this guide is for

Most guides to Riftbound teach you just enough to sit down and play. That's a good way to start, but it leaves gaps. Sooner or later a card does something the quick rules never mentioned, and you're left guessing or digging through the Core Rules (opens in a new tab).

This guide goes further. It aims to give you a complete picture of how the game works: not only what to do on your turn, but why things happen in the order they do. With that picture, you can work out a new situation yourself instead of remembering a ruling for each one.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned player at your local shop, we hope that you get something out of this. Riftbound is a complex game, and even Riot admitted that their wordings can be confusing.
